Offer: I will digitally paint one character in a semi-realistic style for you. The character can be original to you or from any fandom you want.
Examples of my semi-realistic work can be found in this DeviantArt collection. While I often use photo reference for pose, to figure out how light falls, or how fabric folds hang, this is not an overpainting or manip of a photograph (see the descriptions on BANG BANG and Mello Hates You for links to the ref photos I used to see what I mean). I do not charge this much for photo manips. :)
Delivery: I will mail the final print to you within six months of the end of the auction.
Nitty-gritty: The background will probably be very simple, as you see in most of the images in the collection. I reserve the right to choose whether the painting goes more realistic or more painterly (because sometimes that's just how it wants to go), but if you ask for something along the lines of Chinese novel cover style, I'll definitely give it a go, as I'm trying to work out how to do that - my most recent pic in the collection, titled Waterfall, is an example of what I'm trying in that direction (and here is a collection of other people's works in that style, as examples). I also reserve the right to sell prints of it, unless the bidding goes over $100, in which case you can choose to allow me to sell prints or not (if it's your original character, it will be credited to you on the print). I am comfortable with cheesecake and beefcake, but not pr0n - ask before bidding if you're unsure.
I specialize in making realistic versions of anime characters, but I'll give any sort a try. If you want a painting of a live-action character, I can't guarantee I'll get it looking exactly like the actor. :) If you want a furry character I'll give it a go, but my experience with animal anatomy and fur/scales/skin surfaces is minimal, and I'll be relying heavily on photo ref, and I cannot guarantee the results. This is the only anthropomorphic character I've painted so far.
I will send you one loose sketch for your approval before I start painting, but after that, I can't make changes. If you'd prefer it completely a surprise, I can do that too.
