I did it my way

By the time I woke up Buffy had already scampered off probably back to the hotel to feel guilty about anything and everything. Sheesh. If regret was contagious we'd all be in trouble. I, for one, was staying far away from Twinkle Toes and his troop of brooders holed up at the Hyperion.

Buffy ended up drinking a whole pitcher of margarita and singing a host of Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears songs off key. She might be some slayer, but Diana Ross she was not. But the things coming from that girl's aura? Phew. It was enough to knock me back on my cute green keester. She was taking Faith's death pretty hard and I'd noticed she wasn't the only one. Thank Nechna for Gunn, that tall handsome drink of water. Black water. Well, they don't have black water here, but if we were in Pylea? I could show him a whole river of it. Not that I was ever going back there.

Speaking of Denzel, he was passed out on the end of my bed, curled up on the designer sheets as if he didn't have a care in the world. Things were strangely different now that we were all done with Wolfram and Hart. Not to mention estranged from eachother. No one was gracing my doorstep looking for help these days, save for Gunn.

And can I just say? I was really going to miss those Saturday lunch dates with the Olsen twins.

Gunn finally stirred and...was he drooling on my sheets? Had he been doing that all night? It wasn't like I had a personal assistant to take care of dry cleaning for me anymore.

"Good morning, Sunshine." I smiled brightly as I stood up from the bed and yawned. "Pancakes?"

Humming under my breath I jaunted into the kitchen and started pulling out pots and pans. "The hills are alive with the sound of music." I sang brightly, enjoying the acoustics of my fabulously expensive apartment.

Probably just another thing I was going to have to give up along with those fancy high-priced lunch dates.
