You know that pic I posted the other day diagraming the Circles of Hell as per the beliefs in the Middle Ages? I just realized something funny about it.
Did you see it? Look at the Seventh Circle and the Eighth Circle. In the former we find, among other "sinners", the sodomites, or homosexuals. However, below them we find barrators (one who engages in the sale or purchase of positions in church or government), hypocrites, thieves, fraudulent counselers, and falsifiers of words (i.e. liars).
Is it me or does that sound like half the members of the Bush Administration?
Do you see the beauty of that? If you go by this warped version of Christian beliefs -- which some people still do in this day in age -- extremist Republicans go to a even deeper level of Hell than homosexuals do. That is to say, under their very own screwy beliefs they are worse than the homosexuals they persecute. Beautiful.
