We've had two cats again now for a few weeks. For those of you who also read
lagizma's journal, this is a review. (Though look below the cut for a few new pics.) It's just that I haven't talked about the cats since the one died and so much awesome cat-tastic stuff has been going on in recent weeks and I want to document that.
The black one, Agrippina aka "Peanut" (~10wks), we've had since mid/late June and I've posted about him before. That's right, him. We thought he was a girl for about a month and suddenly things, uh, developed. To be fair the pound had tagged her with a pink collar used to identify females. Anyway, Peanut's sister, Smudge, died no more than 10 days after we brought her home and, worried about whether Peanut would get lonely or otherwise become maladjusted, we decided to go out and find her a friend. And we found the speckled one, Ophelia (~18wks), who was literally living at a house out in the middle of the desert and with a dozen other cats and four large dogs no less.

I've rarely seen two cats get along so well together -- even taking into account that they're both still young enough that bonding comes easily. I was really worried that they would freak out at each other though. In the end it's pretty much turned out to be a best cast scenario -- two cats that I love equally who get along almost as if they were in the same litter.
