Sunday Evening The Smith Resident
We stop the bikes in front of our house. I can see how nervous Drew is. Doug pats his back quickly before he opens the door.
" It's fine, my mom's cool," I whisper.
Before Drew can even answer my mom rushes out from the house crying.
" Oh Greg! Oh my sweet boy! You're home...oh I've missed you! I've missed you!"
She grabs me and hugs me, squeezes me so tightly, kissing my face and my head, whispering I love yous in my ear.
" Mom! You're embarrassing him!" Doug yells." Can't you see he's with someone?"
Andy's already run inside and Doug follows him too.
" Oh yes, I'm so sorry!" Mom laughs and wipes her eyes." I just saw you from the window and it's been so long! You must be Drew?"
Mom lets go of me and moves closer to Drew to hug him.
" Come here!" She smiles to Drew.
