Intresting figures
So my contract expires at the end of the month (same ol' same ol') and at lunch today I sat down (well, I was really already sitting) and banged out some details for a contingency plan:
Distance from here to there: 2,191 miles (that's door to door)
Estimated time to travel: 33 hours (break out into 3 days @ 12 hours a piece)
Estimated fuel consumption: 50mpg x 10gtank = 500mpt / 2200m = 4.5t x $15 = $70 for gas
Estimated cost of food: 2m x $10 x 3d = $60
Estimated cost of lodging: 2n x $40 = $80
Estimated total = $210
By that math that's how much it would cost to drive from here to home. Of course, it assumes I ditch everything that won't fit into the geekmobile so essentially all my furniture would have to go. But who knows, maybe that's how I could scrounge up the $200 to hit the road.
