We will be confirming the winning bidders by replying to the comment with the winning bid; if you do not have comment notifications turned on, you may miss learning that you've won a fantastic Offering!
You can learn more about comment notifications and settings here; you can either get notifications emailed directly to you, or have them sent only to your LiveJournal inbox.
We hope to send out all confirmations within 36 hours of the close of the Auction (i.e. 6 PM Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, January 21) so if you need to turn off Notifications then, it won't be as problematic, although you might want to keep an eye on threads where you've won the item, just in case.
Confirmation process/info will be posted in the next few hours. I think we're done testing things! Confirmation will still be manual, and might take a number of hours, but we will get it done.
And really, I'm much happier spending a lot of time confirming donations than I would be if we could do it all in an hour, because it means that we will have what looks like at least a thousand Offerings and donations to confirm.
