I am offering: a package of homemade and carefully packaged French macarons in the flavor of your choosing. (macarons are delicate meringue like cookies made with nut flour--usually almond, and filled with a buttercream, ganache, or caramel--combinations limited only by one's imagination. I can make suggestions if needed.)

examples (not made by me):

Additional Info (optional): I will pay shipping in the US or Canada. (These are probably too delicate for shipping outside US/Canada)

Starting Bid: $20

I've only had them in pastry shops or when I've made them. This is the third time I've heard about frozen ones, but I have never seen them for sale.

We have an amazing pastry shop here in Cambridge and they do beautiful ones--the only other place I've had them was Paris. I gave them for Christmas this year and people were thrilled. :D

We do have a TJ's, but I never shop there because it's far away and I almost never buy any kind of prepackaged food. I feel like some kind of heathen for not loving that store. :/ I hope I have an excuse to go over there some time. I'm totally curious about them now.

Thank you from help_haiti!

We've just notified the winning bidder(s), and asked them to connect with you directly, or with us, to confirm their donation. Once they do, you can get started on your Offering, or ship it to them, or whatever suits the circumstances. Or if you prefer, you can get in touch with the winning bidder yourself, any time.

Once a winning bidder has sent you confirmation of his or her donation, we would really appreciate it if you visited the Donation Confirmation Station at http://community.livejournal.com/help_haiti/10005.html - it will really help with our record keeping and putting together the final tally.

If you have any questions, ask them here; if you haven't heard from the Winning Bidder by Sunday, and you've tried to contact him or her yourself, let us know there, too.
