So, I've started selecting songs for this and so far I'm over 100, plus some poems read by the authors and some recipes (it... makes sense in context).
I FAIL at being able to actually choose stuff XD

I've decided that I'll make two scrapbooks!
They will not be identical... I think it might help me with my choosing anxiety^^ (see my comment above. Or below, I'm not sure XD Wish livejournal would just let me edit the original comment)

Hi, I'm interested in a scrapbook. I will bid $13 to match the other high bid so far. I'm a music teacher and I love to collect songs from all over the world, particularly songs that are considered very typical of the country, so if it would help you to make a focus, I love "folk music" or the songs every Brazilian would know. I'm a big fan of bossa nova, so I already have the Jobim songs mostly. :)
Songs that include berimbau or other folk instruments would be great!

Hi, thanks so much for bidding!
I'm not sure if you are tracking this, so I wanted to warn you that there's a bid higher than yours. The two highest bidders will get scrapbooks, but your bid is the same amount as the one placed earlier, and in this case the first bid has priority, I'm sorry :(
But, hey, There are 5 hours left, you can still bid!

$20. This really caught my eye. I know very little of Brazilian music (or culture even) but I want to learn the language in a few years' time (when I'm done with my Welsh and getting back up to speed with my French, Latin and German) and music is always a good way to get into a language, I think!

I like things from most genres so no theme really, just I guess quite at least a few in each genre that would be really popular. Also maybe if you know what artists Felipe Massa is into, something by them! Haha. If not it doesn't matter. Being able to understand his interviews is a factor in my wanting to learn Brazilian Portuguese...
