Week 3. Hell freezes over... again!
Right now I am stupefied at the stupidity of some people, or in this case, some places. The last two weeks we have had big winter storms. We are talking ice, snow, freezing rain, sleet, the works. Well both last week and this week every weather man said two days ahead of time that the storms were going to be a "wintry mess." Logically, one would assume that the city would brace for this and get the roads prepared with sand/salt and get snow plows ready.
I'm finding more in life that logic does not dictate what really happens. In my weary ventures out this morning, I nearly slid into telephone poles, stop signs, and other cars 3 times. I was TENSE and PISSED OFF! Why in god's green earth would you wait to prep roads until the storm hits?!!!!! Duh! This morning I showered then found out school was canceled so I couldn't go back to sleep. Instead I ran to school (before the roads were easier to traverse with ice skates) and got my plan book and teacher's guides. For the rest of the day I am refusing to leave my comfy warm house and I am get my lesson plans done for next week!
