So, I've been in Europe for three weeks now...
and I'm in love with it. It's beautiful. It's a cool mix of old and new, antique and modern. I really like it so far. People are generally friendly. And when you're a dumb mer-kan, they will often switch to English. I just wish I could speak the languages!
I've heard so many bad things about Paris, and I can only say that these people must have gone at a bad time. I think I only met one jerk, but he was working, stuck behind a booth having to deal with foreigners all day long, so I'm not so sure I can blame him. I'd probably have attitute, too. And it's soooo pretty. Decadent they may be, but they knew what they were doing.
Antwerpen was gorgeous, too, but way too many beggars. And they are aggressive! Yuck! But, it's a nice town and again, the people are friendly.
Amsterdam is still cool. Of course. Very "old town" feel, but still modern, with very modern tastes.
Two weeks, and I'm in London! Woohoo!
