So much has been happening...
Jasper's cousin's funeral was on the same day that we had planned our ceremony. But, it was okay. We were able to change the date to the following Monday and most of the people originally invited were able to come. I felt awful for Jasper's family, of course, but all worked out. My Mom was able to be there and that was what was important.
Since this wasn't actually a wedding, we walked down the aisle together and wrote our own vows. It was very sweet. The poor priest had the flu and was all sniffly and puffy. But he was very cool and the ceremony was beautiful. It was partially in English and partially in Dutch.
Afterward, we went to this cool cafe that we had arraigned to do the reception at. We had them play "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed (twice) and Jasper and I started off dancing together, then with each of the ladies (for Jasper) and gentlemen (for me). We ended up staying until after 1:00 and walked home.
It really was a Perfect Day.
