So, I go in for the last of my epidurals. This was by far the worst.
I think the doc must have been in a hurry. He didn't wait for the novocaine to set and he didn't wait for me to be ready. He said, "Okay, I'm giving you the shot now." I said, "Oh, hang on a second." Because I wasn't in the "relax" position. He didn't wait. So, not only was the novocaine not working yet, I was tensed. I felt the needle go in, hard, and jumped. Which moved the needle. OUCH! Bastard. And I think the needle must have come out or something, because the mark on my back is larger than normal. I haven't been able to get around properly since Thursday. Embarrassing as it was, I had to use Mom's walker just to go downstairs and get a Pepsi. Today, I could go from the bed to the bathroom without too much pain and tomorrow, I'm going to try to drive a little. I'm going stir crazy. Dear Lord, I hope these shots end up being worth it.
In other news, it looks like I'm going to lose my job. They've already told me that I have to be back to work fulltime by the end of the month, or they need to find someone else. I don't know if my back is going to be completely fixed by then, but I do know the ultimatum pisses me off. To make matters chummier, the guy who hit my car is being backed up by his auto insurance, so it looks like it's lawyer time for me. Not that they can do much more for me than I can do, except maybe go for more money than I would probably ask for.
What a red letter week.
Anyone got any good jokes? I need a little cheering up.
