Awesome folk/experimental indie from an already well known melbourne artist. you can hear samples of the album right HERE. It was RRR's album of the week for a reason.
Muscles - One inch Badge pin + upcoming LP
Self proclaimed "post-electroclash" and a one-man rave, Muscles is a blast to see live and his recorded stuff lacks a little of his on-stage energy. He reminds me of the blow and also Xiu Xiu but only when Jamie Stewart isn't being so creepy. BUY HIS MUSIC.

Architecture In Helsinki - Places Like This
Twee goes funk! Not officially out until september, but if you want to be evil I'm sure you can find it online on various places on the interwebs. I'm ready to pre-order my copy after only one listen. So glad to see the lead male vocalist finally getting into it on more than a few tracks, he really shines on this album. I was worried that the album wouldn't capture the energy of the new songs when they performed them live at the prince a few weeks ago, but it's safe to say that 'debbie', 'like it or not' and 'hold music' are just as great recorded as they were live.
This one will be in the top 10 of the year for me.

Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire (fuck you steve)
New single sounds like they turned into a mid-90s New Order. At first I was all "what is up with this fo shizzle" but now I am all 'this is pretty awesome, dawgs'. You can hear the new single on their myspace page.
Also in other news, I had my graveyard slot on melbourne's awesometastic TRIPLE R. I think I did well for my first ever time broadcasting on radio with absolutely no technical or training skills under my belt.
