I've been feeling FREAKING AWESOME really great lately, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. Honestly, I don't really care why. I've never felt so excited about, well, EVERYTHING! Hmmm...well, I've seen some evil plants in my day...but I'd like to think I'd know if I had a plant on board that could do something like that. Why do you ask?

Because I think those Thumos plants that you were so amused with are the cause of this strange epidemic.

The Thumos plants? Oh good lord. Yeah, I've notice people acting strangely. I've even been feeling...not myself lately...and right around the time they bloomed. UGH! How many TIMES do I have to tell them to properly document the specimens! This is terrible. I'll go quarantine them right now-and don't worry, I'll wear a mask.

No, don't worry about it. It's my fault. I should've double checked the documentation. If you could let someone in facilities know about needing extra air filtration, that would be good. I'll get some pollen samples to Spock and medical.

And you've been a fine friend, Chekov. If it weren't for you looking out for me and solving this problem, who knows what could've happened.
