He probably does feel proud of him, and will likely tell him so after the war's over and he can focus on things that aren't avoiding bullets etc.
Speaking of which this is like my favourite thing about them. XD They bicker even when they're fighting another enemy.

Hong Kong New China grew! /o/ The Asian family seems so out of sorts without China there. It's like a vital part of them is missing.
