Dream ⇒ 004 ⇔ And he's back.
[PUBLIC // HAS SOME SPOILERS THOUGH.]
He was fading. He knew that this would be it. The moment that blade ripped through his body, he knew that no matter what he did, not even he could escape death. A part of life he only let himself freak out over just once before.
But he wasn't like that anymore. No, he knew the risks, the dangers. But he crashed through them all anyway. Never gave anything a second thought. Just went with his gut.
Still, the it had been a cheap shot, and he wasn't dead yet. No, not yet. There was still some left in him and if he was going to go, he was going to drag them all with him. He would make sure that he would leave with a bang, and that he would at least make sure that the ones he left behind could continue on without him.
For one final time, Simon and Kamina had combined to form their two-faced Gunman, the almighty Gurren-Lagann. And as Kamina said, he would finish it one go. Summoning and using every ounce of life force and will power he had (which was still quite abundant), he took control of the Gunman, and drills appeared all over the place, piercing all the enemy mechs that came to him. He then tells Simon his last parting words: "Believe in yourself. Not you, who believes in me. Not me, who believes in you. Believe in you who believes in yourself!" Then the final move, Giga Drill Breaker (pardon the dub and bad quality, it was the only version I could find and this could NOT be described in words).
And the deed was done.
"Farewell."

W-Wha--What the hell, this ain't heaven! ...Wait a minute...[sounds of fumbling and stares at the Dreamberry] ...I came back here??

[yeah you can. Ignore the fact that he looks exactly like he did in the dream: bloodied and that is a gash across his chest. He's kind of forgetting he's in pain at the moment and that he's still bleeding.]
