What about melting the metal off? Or--are there any useful tools in the smithy? You said you can do metal workings, right?

You want to try melting metal that's on your wrist? I don't think that's the best idea, and it's hard to break cold steel with anything. Except for maybe a blowtorch but I wouldn't want to get that anywhere near my wrist.
