So...anyone got something they need repaired?

[He's barely done anything since he got here and he's starting to go crazy. Right now he's sitting in the stables' loft juggling some of his tools.]

[And who should stick her head through the loft entrance but Abeni. She's brought food for both of them.]

Repairs? Like what?

[Oh yay food!

He focuses on her but doesn't stop juggling the tools in his hands. Bored bored bored.]

Anything and everything. Hell I'll fix a toilet if someone needs me to.

[Okay so maybe he's never had to fix a toilet before but that won't keep him from trying.]

[Riah earns a small smile. As per usual, it only lasts a half second before it's gone again. The food she's brought is pretty basic; bread, jerky and a bit of fruit.]

So that's what you do these days?

[Seeing her smile gives him a grin of his own. They may not last long but she is starting to smile more which is always a good thing to Riah.

Basic it may be but it's better than anything they ever got in Deadworld.]

Always been good with my hands so why not?

[The grin surprises her but she doesn't react any more than to stare a moment and then distract herself with sitting down and sorting through the food. He's happy, and for that she is both unsure and pleased. She's been here a while bow, but Abeni still can't shut down.]

True. You were a fast learner.

[Legs crossed, she picks at a chunk of bread.]

Never took you for a jester though.

[Really now. Juggling?]

[It's taken him two years for him to settle down and even then he's still paranoid, can't sleep more than a few hours, and is ridden with guilt. He doesn't expect her to make progress any faster than he did, but small steps are still steps.]

Had a good teacher.

[One that kept him alive long enough to learn all this stuff.]

Just trying to find something to do where I can.

[But he does stop so he can grab some jerky to chew on.]

[She doesn't react to that, at least not openly. It's nice to think he played some part in his survival but Abeni is still annoyed with herself for dying. To her, she left him. Maybe this place is her chance to make up for that.]

[Zachariah isnt the only one goin stir crazy. If she can find something to do, she'll take it. Abeni is aware that by this point, Riah is probably better than her when it comes to repairs.]

I'm gonna go find some clothes later. Want anything?

I could always use a hand.

[Sure he's good at repairs by now but a lot of this stuff he's going to be new at. They might as well learn it together and having something to do will be good for the both of them.]

A coat that doesn't make me look stupid would be nice.
