One thing I will definitely miss about Waterloo when I'm gone is the
Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema. I only got out to see two films this year (which is twice as many as I managed last year!) but I am so glad this thing exists. I saw
Nocturna Friday night, and it's an amazingly beautiful movie, a neat little story and so very easy on the eyes. There is a main character whose job it is literally to herd cats, and I loved him very much. If you find this movie anywhere, pick it up, I promise it's worth your time!
Today I went back and watched the first part of
Genius Party, which was mostly good. Anthologies are always hit-and-miss, pretty much by their very nature, but there was only one that I didn't like at all (even then it was at least visually appealing).
:( I'll miss you WFAC. Maybe I'll come back some other year!
