So, I'm reading the War of the Worlds and I have decided that almost all science fiction written before oh... 2005 is impossible to read. At least for me. I've been reading it very slowly, simply because half of the things that H.G. Wells bases his monsters on are complete bullshit. I can't really fault him for that, considering this shit was

Meh. It's sci-fi. You kind of have to suspend your disbelief(or knowledge or whatever). It's like trying to explain Katamari scientifically. Doesn't work, so you just give up and accept it as fiction.

Although old sci-fi is truly laughable at times.
