numbered lists seem to be the thing to do

01. I took my computer to be diagnosed sometime last week. It had been giving me error messages for a couple of months, and then it started to not turn on. That sentence is a little awkward, kind of like the "throw the cow over the fence some hay" kind of thing. Anyway, so apparently the problem is my motherboard. . . . also known as I need a new one. With labor and everything, it would cost about $360+. SO since we just got the house computer fixed (it's working like a dream nowadays), I'm just going to get a job during school (hopefully I can juggle school, a job, and doing the musical, if I get cast), and save up money until I can buy a new computer. I'd really like to get a MacBook, and will probably look into getting a refurbished one. Lots of reviews that I've read about refurbished Macs say that they are basically like a brand new computer, and have been rigorously tested to meet their standards, so I have no qualms with getting a slightly used one versus paying a couple hundred more for a brand new one. Hopefully I can get my Dad to help me with buying a new computer, since it isn't exactly cheap. . . . . :-\

02. Classes are almost done. Tomorrow, I have a final (math thinking), and my last anthro class, and then I have my anthro final on Friday. Woot. Both should be ridiculously easy.

03. I've been working on packing up the CD closet in Haas. Basically, it's insane. There are reel-to-reel recordings from back in the late 70's. Ok music department, I can understand your having DVD's of all the concerts and recitals, I even can reason out keeping all the cassette tapes and the VHS's. But why, WHY, do you need to keep these recordings??? They're OLD and OUTDATED if you haven't noticed. So, yesterday consisted of packing up the reel-to-reels, cassette tapes, VHS's, and DVD's. That took a little over two hours. Today, I boxed up the records that I had moved earlier in the summer, another 2 hours there. They used to be on a big shelving unit, but they had to be moved so they construction guys could get behind it to get at the pipes. So they were all stacked up on the floor, pretty high and quite precariously. Tomorrow, I'm going to rearrange the closet-within-the-closet that holds all of the instruments for the music education classes. And, there are some typewriters to throw out, to make more room. Finally, on Friday, and maybe next week too, I have to pack up the other shelving unit of records, another shelving unit with some records, books, and other random stuff, and lastly, there's another small shelving unit (about 2 shelves) packed with records. Basically, we have alot of records.

04. There's alot of dust in that closet. Thank you construction workers. Also, thank you for smoking in the building, it smells lovely.

05. Jekyll & Hyde in about a week and a half!! If you haven't given me money for a ticket, I can't save them for you, because I don't have the money to pay for them all. But, you won't have any trouble getting in, there's no way that we are going to sell out any night, so you'll be guaranteed a ticket. Also, the tickets are general admission, so it's not like you'll be getting worse seats or anything like that. Doors open half an hour before the show each night, so just give yourself time to get your ticket and get situated in the theatre.

06. I'm ready for the fall semester to start already. I miss everyone.

07. I really want to go visit Kayla the week before school starts/ the week after the show ends. Correction: I AM going to visit Kayla the week before school starts/ the week after the show ends.
