Busy doing nothing...
I've had this song stuck in my head all week. I hear it at work, and while it's certainly not a bad song...well, it's officially a work song. =P For some reason the video disappoints, but to be fair I wasn't imagining something so cute (I giggle at her with the big quarter).
I'm itching for February. I'm most definitely ready for Alabama. Am also ready for new hair (re: the video above- me with that dark red hair, yes/no?).
I've been reading Audrey Niffenegger's (golly, is that fun to type) The Time Traveler's Wife for two days and have already plowed through half of it. It's such a lovely story! And it's nice to be reading a GOOD book. The last book I read* was Atonement and that was bad enough that it ruined reading for me for quite a bit. Also did a good job of putting me to sleep.
It's been nice and icy for the past 24 hours. Cold as Hell but it made for some pretty picture taking. Now just gimme some real snow and I'll be a happy girl (just NOT the 3rd week in February). And yes, I do hate being cold, but I'm always cold from November-March anyway, so I might as well learn to enjoy the weather that comes with it.
I've spent more time loading up my new iPod and messing with it than actually listening to music on it. Soon I'll have it all packed with shiny goodness and it'll finally be suitable for traveling with me.
*Technically, I last read Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, but that's a teeny book so I won't really count it, even though I thoroughly enjoyed much of it. Was spades better than its movie adaptation, although that WAS cute, just...doesn't compare to the book.
