An excuse to use my automotive l icense
As most of you already know I left the Auto-Service trade 5 years ago for better pay and working conditions in IT. You may also know that my father is involved with Skills Canada, an organization that promotes the trades and other technical skills such as web development, network support etc. with young people.
Well I am now involved in Skills for the Canadian competitions here is Edmonton. I am a judge for the Auto-Service section for both Provincial and Canadian competitions.
So heres the plug.
If you would like to see what young people can do with the trades and other skill technical areas come down to Nothlands Agricom Saturday or Sunday. It is really quite interesting to see how each person solves the same problem. We have everything from Auto-Service, cooking, electrical to graphical layout and Web design. I will most likly not be allowed to talk to anyone while I am judging but there is always lots of people to answer questions while the competitions are on.
