Will Knott's Sonnet

And just so I remember it, years from now, here is the poem I wrote for the show. Will Knott recites this to win the heart of Cordelia Mostly.

Will Knott's Sonnet

For years and years each summer I have seen
You dancing hours in fields of daisies white.
Shared youth revealed your sense of humor keen,
Your heart so kind and beauty warm and bright.

I often thought that happy we could be
And household make if I could catch your eye.
Perchance you could your seasons spend with me.
Small means I have to use but I must try.

I have not piles of golden treasure brought
Nor songs composed of worldly goods or meat.
I did not think with such you could be bought
I offer just prolonged devotion sweet.

I close this simple rhyme for maiden fair
And bring one favored flower for her hair.
