go on, take the money and run
so uh someone broke into my work last night after i closed. they stole around $2600 cash and about $500 worth of cigarettes (marlboros and newports). they got in by breaking a window in the very back of the garage that's attached to the station. i swear within the last month more shit has happened at that place than the rest of the time i've worked there. summer brings out the crazies. i have no idea who it could've been either. i was first inclined to think it was most likely these teenagers that hang around up town all the time and that come in and loiter almost every day, but no lottery tickets were stolen and you'd think those would be one of the first things they would go for and kids are stupid and probably wouldn't realize those are trackable. plus stupid kids would've stolen a lot more than 10 cartons of cigs. they probably would've taken chew and all that shit as well.
anyway, whoever did this knew exactly where we kept our change box for when we need change for the register. we keep around $600 worth of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, ones, fives, and tens. the other 2000 grand that was stolen was from the Cash for Checks thingie we have; you know, one of those "we hold your personal check for 2 weeks and give you cash now" deals. i'm more inclined to believe it was one of the Cash for Checks customers because they see exactly where we store the money. whoever did it knew exactly what they were going for. fucking losers.
on a somewhat happier note, i finally get a day off tomorrow! yay. i just want to sleep forever but i have so much shit to do that i probably shouldn't. ugh. i've about had it with that place. one day i am going to snap while i'm at work and it's not going to be pretty.
