If you'd like to join in the game, we'd like to have you! Please fill out the following application and send it to: mods.from.hell at gmail dot com. Please put "Character Application: [character name]" in the subject of your e-mail. Also, make sure that you've read the rules fully before applying, have checked the application guidelines, and check the other character related information that is available on the community's main page.

History: (Please be sure to include relevant history ~UP TO AND INCLUDING~ the time when your character was taken. It should be thorough, covering main points of the character's life without being verbose, and should be written assuming the moderators know absolutely nothing about the series)
Powers: (anything outside of what a normal human would be capable of. Include series-related weaknesses/limitations as well)
How will you limit these powers in the game: (Keep in mind that all characters will have their powers limited, and the more powerful your character in the series, the more you will need to weaken them)

RP SAMPLES. Below are four prompts. Please pick two and write two 3rd person samples for your character. Samples should run at least 300 words in length, and should reflect an accurate understanding of the character's personality as well as your ability to write effectively and cohesively. There is no maximum length, but remember that we favor quality over quantity.
Sample 1: Your character wakes up in Hell's Gate prison. This sample may include a brief transition scene from their world to Hell's Gate, but the majority of the sample should take place within their prison cell.
Sample 2: Your character is in his/her cell for the night when the alarm sounds and the doors open for the first time.
Sample 3: Write out a combat post between your character and one of the other prisoners, without godmoding the other prisoner. (You may assume an action the other prisoner may have made in a previous post)
Sample 4: Your character has been killed, either by one of the monsters of the prison, or by one of the other prisoners themselves. Please write their (not so) final death scene.
