Timeline: Season 12 - Season 13

May 27, 2003 14:28

NOTE: In S6 and S8 there are one year time jumps. However, the Supernatural team did not actually skip a year chronologically. I've listed the dates below as they appear in the narrative, but you want the dates to be in chronological time, you will have to add 2 years to all dates listed below. See note before the S6-S7 timeline for details.

- Slightly weird timing in this episode.

To say the least! I hated that.

Indeed... it shows a lack of thought to the details, which is always frustrating for people like me.

This is super helpful! Thank you so much, and for the dedication put into this!

I actually have a question, just to clear something up to myself:
Despite the dates reading 20xx, because the SPN team didn't add the two 1yr timeskips, the year would be, for example, written as 2017, but it would in fact be 2019, correct?

That's correct! By S12, they would be 2 years in the future, if the SPN team had followed their own timeline. :)

Oh, if only. That would make everything far less confusing!

So we jump from Funeralia being in Winter to it being April or May 4 episodes later...makes one wonder what the heck else was going on between those eps...

Thank you for your efforts!

Well, "Winter" COULD be February or March... but yeah, there are a lot of possible gaps in time this year.

Really, they just have 23 episodes to span 12 months, since they love dating their finales in May - each episode usually only covers 3 days on average. So, that's only around 70 days out of 365 that we're privy to, that's just under 20% of the year. Leaving 80% of the year completely unaccounted for and open to write fanfiction about. :)

What an intriguing explanation!
