I loved the characteristics the Cassitys remember Crowley by: "So charming" "Yeah and English". And Sam's face when they say 'Crowley'. Brilliant!
Yes, that was great. :)
I much preferred Dean's glasses than Sam's.
A matter of taste where we differ, I guess. Not saying that Dean looked bad, of course, I just liked Sam's more.
And in regards to the wife being able to escape the handcuffs, I can do the same. We discovered that on a class trip to the courthouse. The officers offered to handcuff us and we discovered that they couldn't close tight enough for my little wrists.
Yeah, my sister is the same way - little wrists, small enough hands. She was arrested once (not charged though, because she was innocent...she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time) and she was completely co-operative the whole time... to the point where she actually removed the cuffs to make their pat-down of her more efficient. They didn't like that much. I think they were just embarrassed.
I don't think that was 'Fluffy' (as Mark Sheppard nicknamed his massive hellhound), just some other hellhound. Also the effects to distort Jensen's face? Wow!
Yes, if I remember correctly, Crowley's hell hounds is practically the same size as Crowley - that one was too little to be him. Definitely a fantastic effect though - and the Jensen's face thing freaked me out!
The brothers had a lot of lovely moments in this episode. Seemed to almost bring us back to how their relationship was pre-apocalypse.
I think it's a brand new relationship... I mean, I suppose you could argue that Dean is protecting him, like Dean tried to do pre-apocalypse, but Dean's still doing that AND treating Sam like a capable adult who can look after himself, which is very much a post-apocalypse relationship. So, yeah, in any case, I like it!
The thing that bothered me in this episode is that Sam and Dean were able to read and speak the Enochian 'spell' that Kevin discovered on the tablet. When the heck did they learn Enochian? I know they know certain protection and repelling sigils against angels, but actual Enochian? They've always tended to rely on Castiel for that.
They can read it, but do they know what it says? Those are two different skills. They've always needed Castiel to TRANSLATE Enochian, but that doesn't mean that Sam and Dean don't know how to read the letters. It's been 4 years of dealing with angels, I'm sure they've studied Enochian a little bit over the years - possibly more these days now that they think there's something wrong with Castiel. But they probably know it enough that they can translate using an Enochion-English dictionary.
The light thing going on in Sam's hand/arm looked very similar to Benny's light/soul in Dean's arm at the beginning of the season when he provided transport to Benny from Purgatory.
True... it's SOMETHING to do with Sam's soul, I figure. I'm just not sure what.
