Alice said she fell in love with Carl on valentine's day, ten years earlier. And since deals come true in ten years exactly, that means that Carl died on valentine's day as well.
Because yeah, that doesn't work. Last firm date I had was January 23rd, the episodes between that date and this one cover a span of 25 days, which takes us just a few days past February 14th, like...if I smush them all up together so that the episodes happen back to back it takes me to February 18th - so, yeah... I'll put both dates in the timeline, but I think in my book, the hounds were four days late.
I think if it were valentine's day the day Carl died, they would have made mention of it - which gives me leeway to say that it's ten years, but not necessarily to the day. (Different rules for Dean's deal, obviously, he only got one year anyway.)
you can also win a few days, if you take Dean's mention last weeks of being gone for 'two weeks' and say he was gone for say ten or eleven days instead of fourteen.
