Okay, time for Buffy people. I am one of those very very few people who are not Buffy fans. It's no fault of Buffy's of course. I just really hate vampire-centric shows. I'm racist against vampires really, it would be a huge character fault, if they were real...as it is, it just means that I can't enjoy a very small percentage of pop culture.

Anyway ( Read more... )

I know a lot of fans bitch about this eppy because the boys let the witches go. It's not that they let them go, they tried a spell and it failed. Then Plan B was simply about cooling them down so they'd stop killing people. It's still a win. I think what keeps the show real is that the guys don't always save the day or kill the big bad. Sometimes you have to take the small victories instead of the big ones.

I agree completely!

I'll always love this eppy because I was on location watching them film for an entire day and night. It was awesome! :D

Yes, the Mentalists holds a special place in my heart for that reason.

The bit at the end w/the Leviathan irked me 'cause the guys said they had to figure out what Chet was. Uh..WHAT??? You shoot him and get black goo. Bobby just told them that the Levis bled black goo! Did they have a memory lapse? Another mistake by the writers. Grrrr.

Yeah, I thought they figured out that the "chompers" were leviathan back in episode 3 (personally, I think Bobby should have figured it out in episode 2.) Personally, I like to think that they DO know that it's a leviathan, Sam just meant that they have to figure out how it works and how to kill it... but yeah, the fact that they're going on smaller hunts when there's obviously crazy big-mouth unkillable monsters eating people out there kind of annoys me.

Well if that's the case, it was poorly written dialog then. Because Don says "What is that thing?" or something to that effect and Sam goes, "We should figure that out". Well they know what it is...or at least they should have. Sure, we, the audience knew Chet was after them and the guys didn't, but the clues were all there...plus that line from Edgar about them being worthy for annihilation should've been a big clue that they were on the Levi's Most Wanted List. Duh. :P

the fact that they're going on smaller hunts when there's obviously crazy big-mouth unkillable monsters eating people out there kind of annoys me.

This has been brought up on the show in the past. I think it was Season 5 and Sam complained that they had bigger things to deal with....maybe it was Monster Movie? Anyway, Dean said something about them not always being able to deal with the big problem. They still need to be out there saving people, hunting things.

Yeah, that's always their excuse - and they did do it at the beginning of the previous episode... but it's like you said, it's just poorly written dialogue, because it feels like they've forgotten about the problem, rather than the idea that they're still concerned about it.
