Ooh that's nifty. Am yoinking it. :) You've been to more provinces and states than me, a nd I just edge you out in countries. Though admittedly a number of the places I've only been to briefly (like, one day in port while on a cruise) or when I was 8...
If it makes you feel better, I had to click on state-names willy-nilly until the correct path down to Florida was highlighted - I couldn't actually remember what states we drove through. :P
I wouldn't mind seeing the grand canyon, but other than that, I actually don't like traveling in the states very much.
Though, that being said, my best friend wanted to take a wine-tasting tour of the Napa Valley, so if he ever showed up on my doorstep all set to do that - then I'd go along for sure.
Yeah, that's part of what's keeping me from travelling in the states.. I always feel vaguely uncomfortable. And quite aware of how many guns there are. o.o But I'd like to see the grand canyon, yeah, and some of the other national parks and such. And I'd like to see more of the New England area; kind of wish that I drove and, if I did, would feel comfortable driving in the states, because it'd be neat to drive down from eastern Canada, through Vermont/Massachusettes/Connecticut/etc to New York or something. In the fall so I could see the leaves. :) Never seen the eastern leaves in the fall... (plus, I really want to go to New York again so I can see The Daily Show/The Colbert Report filming!)
Anyway, I'm heading down to Seattle in a couple of weeks for the first time in my life (yeah, lived in Vancouver all my life and never been to Seattle) so that'll be fun at least. Going to see the Harry Potter exhibit! And possibly the live Dr. Horrible production that will be on at the time.
Cool! (About going to Seattle) I only go to Seattle because I have a sister who lives there - but that being said, it's a nice city. I went on the Seattle Underground tour and I really liked it
( ... )
Yeah, I know what you mean... it's similar to here, and yet vaguely more threatening. Well, the higher gun and crime rate probably has something to do with that. ^^ I especially don't like American airports, and I'm glad we're taking the train down (mom wanted to fly at first, because she didn't want to drive or take the bus, but then we realized that the train is very affordable. Which is good, because I'm not much relishing the thought of flying into the USA these days what with all the new security measures)
And heh, really? Never noticed the food thing, but then I haven't been there much and not for a few years.
I must have seen some leaves when I spent a year in Ontario at school, but I didn't get out into the countryside so I didn't really get to experience them. So yeah, that'd be cool. There's definitely a lot of beautiful scenery down there.
