lol Sam is a regular fashionista compared to Dean...I don't usually pay that much attention to their clothes, but this was fun! Thanks for putting it all together :)

It was fun to put it together. I never paid much attention to clothes either until I started the project - now I can't stop! ;)

Sam wears a LOT of plaid shirts, so I'd say that no, there's no pattern with him and plaid.

Dean on the other hand only has a few plaid shirts. I always associated Dean and plaid with more domestic scenes...fixing the Impala, when he was in high school, when he's in the heaven memory with his mom...but there are instances that sort of break that: He wears plaid during both shapeshifter episodes. He also wears plaid during Time is On My Side - which is a tough episode emotionally, because his time is running out and he and Sam are at odds as to what they should be doing.

But, yeah, if there's any pattern with plaid - I'd say it's that Dean wears it when he's more domestic...whether that means he's happy or not is a matter of character interpretation.

Wow, not only does Sam have practically twice as many clothes as Dean, he lives in the button ups. Does he ever wear anything else? He didn't wear them as much in Season 1, but in more recent episodes....wow. And the plaid!

He really likes it when they do up with snaps too. :P

Sam likes stripes and plaids, and Dean really likes solid colours. I feel like I could easily go Christmas shopping for them now.

I have no idea if you're around anymore, but after taking a year off from SPN I'm doing a rewatch. So, I've come to ask you: what shirt would you consider this light one in Hell House?

I don't know what entry you were trying to link to, because you just linked to the Season 1 general clothes list.

It's hard to tell with that colour shirt - Dean has a LOT of shirts that are that colour or similar.
