[Day 13] Cafeteria (Breakfast)
The guards had stormed into his room the night before and had hauled himself and Cloud off to the infirmary. Of course they had shocked him into unconsciousness, but it hardly took a genius to figure that part out. The events of the previous night had unsettled Sephiroth far more than he would have liked. His inability to keep control of himself had ultimately gotten Cloud injured, and the worst of it all was the fact that it had been by his own hand. Still, that was merely a shadow of what he'd felt within, and he could still feel himself slipping regardless of their conversations last night.
Would he be unable to hold onto his sense of self for much longer? It was a thought that left him cold within as he entered into the cafeteria.
He'd pulled his arm out of the sling as soon as he'd found it in there, and while there was some movement in it again, it still felt much like a dead weight at his side. There was extensive bruising to the area and the muscles and tendons were still all swollen, but he was hardly going to show any signs of physical weakness in front of the other prisoners. He was at least comforted by the fact that the wound on his side had been nicely stitched up, and the injuries he'd sustained a few nights back had almost completely healed. Granted, they seemed to have been replaced with the fresh ones.
Sephiroth hardly needed to look around the cafeteria to know that Cloud wasn't there. He could still sense the blonde though, and it was a sensation that left him feeling comforted. His body relaxed at the thought before he pulled his attention away and focused on the situation at hand.
The scent of breakfast was hardly appealing to him. That wasn't to mention the sickening chattering between the prisoners who had already arrived at the cafeteria before him. Ignoring the breakfast line, Sephiroth automatically began making his way over to the first free table available.
