[Night 12] Chapel (Main Room)

Nov 09, 2009 19:07

[From here]Sephiroth's silence continued as he walked into the quiet main room of the Chapel. It was just like every other night, devoid of all life other than themselves and the flicker of candles against the wall. He automatically scanned the area searching for any danger, and after currently finding none, Sephiroth began to move off to the side ( Read more... )

Aerith didn't want to be selfish, but she was quite glad that Sephiroth hadn't seemed to acquire any sort of sword so far. Not that she didn't think he deserved to have a way to defend himself, but seeing him with anything resembling Masamune would have brought back some rather undesirable memories. Just thinking about it caused her to bring her hand up to cover the place where the wound had been. It seemed to tingle with phantom pain every time she thought about it.

The Ancient followed Cloud into the Chapel, her eyes quickly scanning the seemingly empty room. It was just as disturbing as last night, but with any luck they would find something else useful tonight.

Bringing up the rear going in the Chapel, Cloud glanced to where Sephiroth moved off to before he immediately walked down the center aisle of the main room. He hopped to the altar and lifted his hands to turn the large cross so that it was faced in the opposite direction to what it had started.

There was the familiar grind of the door opening the hidden compartment room. He walked over and peered inside, wrinkling his nose in disgust at the sight of that same dead guy in the fancy robes. "Seriously, you need a grave," he said as he crouched into the hold to find that there was another glint of metal.

Reaching over, he hauled a large tall metal object out of the alcove. He raised a large sword, larger than the one he had found the night before, and he turned the hilt over in his hand to look at the design. "A Claymore," he said and looked over to Aerith. The sword was almost as tall as she was.

He slammed the blade into the floor and gestured for her to grasp the handle. "Well, let's see how you handle a blade, Aerith."

Sephiroth's attention shifted back to the pair as they moved up towards the altar area. He remained off within the shadows of the pews as Cloud went to investigate the hidden area. There was the sound of shifting stone as the secret area opened up. The sound drew Sephiroth's attention over towards it while he watched as Cloud entered into the area.

He'd be ready if there were any threats, but when none appeared and Cloud pulled out yet another sword, Sephiroth found his attention straying down to the large Claymore. There was a subtle twitch within his left hand at the sight, but as Cloud addressed the Cetra, Sephiroth inwardly grunted as he brought his arms up to fold over his chest and turns his back on the pair.

Aerith waited patiently as Cloud turned the large cross on the altar, and she wasn't startled when the hidden compartment opened this time. She watched as the blonde reached into the darkened area before coming back with an even larger sword in his hand then last time ( ... )
