There had been one aspect to dinner that had pleased him greatly, and that had been the fact he'd finally been left alone. It had been the first time throughout the day, and Sephiroth was far more than pleased with that outcome.
His wounds were still loudly protesting his movements, but years of training made it easy for the ex-General to ignore it while he waited in his cell. Instead, he waited for the guards to leave them be and head off for the night before Sephiroth slipped out the small key he'd received the night before. Holding it within the palm of his hand, he glanced down at the small object before turning it over in his hold.
It looked too small to fit into any of the doors unless it was a key to a cupboard? That was a possibility, but he couldn't say for certain. When he thought back through the nights, most hadn't been revolving around exploring the inside areas, but what if they were missing something vital and the key he now held in his hand was exactly what they needed in order to obtain it?
He'd have to ask Cloud about it when they met up.
Tucking the key into his pocket, Sephiroth finally forced his body up from the bed as he began moving around to collect his newly obtained weapons. Reaching down beneath his mattress for the spear first, the ex-General found his attempt freezing just before his fingers touched the metal as flashes from the previous night tormented his mind.
His body was heavily injured still because of those events, while while Cloud's disability had been completely healed due to his death, Sephiroth felt a seed of self-doubt sprouting within his mind over his own ability to protect that which was his.
