[ Mina stopped in her exam, eyes widened in surprise. She turned to look around the room, no one was there and yet the voice was as clear as if it were there with her. Another Skinner? She hoped not ]

Hello?

Ah, enjoying your time playing with the... phone?

[You can just hear the smile in his voice. Hades is already quite amused with this situation. This little device has proven to be much fun.]

I wouldn't call examining something playing.

Ah, I would not recommend to store it in your back pocket, my dear. Speaking from personal experience here.

Yes, you'd get reactions like that. [Chuckles.] The phone, it is the device you are holding.

How curious. And the fact that we're speaking now?

[ She knows how phones work, enough to use them at least, but this... entirely different ]

There is a button up top. Hold it down to power off. Press once to turn it on.

Beyond that, I'm still figuring it out myself.

Did you break the phone, miss lady?

Apparently not, since we are communicating.

Uh, question--what year are you from? If I can figure out what general kind of tech you're used to, I can help explain the phone better.

Ooh. Okay. Man, I really should've paid more attention in history.

You've got the telephone by then, right? This is sort of an advanced version of that. You can call other people in the town with it, and...

[Jaime turns on the video function! Say hi to the teenager on your screen, Mina.]

...there's even video, so you can see who you're talking to. It's pretty cool.

I do, though nothing quite so sophisticated as this.

[ And when the video activates Mina's quick to place it back on the table, rather surprised by it ]

Oh my.
