I'm uncertain, but I believe it connects to the eyes and the...the people we saw at the end of the dream. Do you remember them...?

Not much...but I remember the eyes. Sorta like a Shadow.

I remember the teeth, it doesn't...bode well for us.

No, you're not, Shinjiro and I'm sure you're aware of that. Currently I'm the only one of us that's near full strength.

Your aim was bad enough before, Shinjiro. You need rest as much as Akihiko does. I'll be fine on my own, I was for years.

This thing ain't a Shadow, Mitsuru. You don't know that.

We don't know what it is and I have no intention of running out to get into a fight with the unknown. I just wanted to make it clear that neither you or Akihiko will be involved. I don't want you to end up sicker than you already are. [Or...the thing left unsaid, dead.]
