Day 69 | Video Call to Everyone

Jun 18, 2011 19:49

[ The camera flickers on, shaking around a bit as it turns to face its owner, who is wearing a smile as warm as her odd pink hair.  ]

It seems like the help isn't being so helpful any more. I know that some of you can't fight, so if you'd like someone to get rid of your help for you, don't hesitate to ask.

If you could stop by my house later I would be rather thankful. [Thuds can be heard. Probably coming from the closed door in the background.] I'm at 280 Tiger Lily Lane.

280? So that means...

[ Her mind wanders to Saria, that girl she met a few days ago. She was looking for the boy she lived with, and she was just a child. The thuds on the wall don't help anything. ]

Is everyone okay over there?

Oh yes. I just locked two of the maids in the bedroom. They don't seem to be terribly happy about it.

You have two maids? I only had one.

[ She's a little surprised, but since there are two people there, Argilla just assumes there are two maids. ]

What about the girl with the ocarina, Saria?

She's as fine as you could expect, given the circumstances. Oh! And if you have anything sharper than a mop that you aren't currently using, I would like to borrow it.

You don't have any knives in your kitchen? No broken glass you can attach to it?

[ She pauses for a moment, realizing that she's talking to a child. Might be a bad idea. ]

How well is the bedroom door holding up?

I thought about that! [Said brightly.] But the balance would be all wrong, and if I were seriously fighting the blade likely wouldn't remain attached to the shaft for too long.

The door seems... [More thudding. He's going to toss the phone in the couch as he pushes said couch in front of the door, grabbing it again once it's done.] ...to be holding up.

[ She just watches and listens to the boy and that couch. Would that couch be moving if it didn't need to? ]

I'm on my way. Unlock your door.

[ There's a few mechanical clicking noises as Argilla picks her phone back up, the camera giving a quick glimpse of a firearm as she begins walking towards her door.

...that's the sound of it closing, and the camera feed turns to the white of the fog. ]

WHAM!

[ The camera, if you were still looking through it, is no longer shrouded in fog and is now showing a door fly open to an oddly familiar house. You might see a leg coming back down from a kick. The camera comes a few inches inside before the white glow of the fog is cut off by the door shutting. The camera pans back to Argilla's face. ]

Okay, I'm here. Move that couch out of the way, I'll follow the noise to find you.

I'm upstairs! [Called out helpfully as the couch is being moved.]

[ Argilla wastes no time in getting up those stairs, and is able to find Loki with little trouble. It's also not hard for her to figure out which room the zombies are in.

She sighs, a bit hesitant to do what she's about to do. She could have transformed, but she didn't want to scare Loki or Saria, and the confined space on the second floor would probably make defending herself more difficult. So she would be relying on her sniper rifle ( ... )

It's okay. And let's assume the following is in person, shall we? lowkeyinaminor June 21 2011, 00:02:43 UTC
Impressive. [A bit wide-eyed. And he's going to probably stand a lot closer than Argilla would feel comfortable doing, though not quite getting in front of her because one does not stand in front of a warrior and their target.] Where should we take the bodies?

Sure! dentatas June 21 2011, 00:12:34 UTC
[ Argilla can't help but feel good about the kills. It's been a while since she didn't use her demon form to get something done, but she thought she did a pretty nice job. She doesn't think much of Loki getting pretty close, as she's not expecting anything to happen. When that question comes up... ]

I can take care of them. They shouldn't stay here, of course.

Awesome. lowkeyinaminor June 22 2011, 02:12:52 UTC
[And now he's going to duck around and try to enter the zombie side of the room with the intent of stripping a bedsheet or something to put the zombie chunks in IDK.] Of course. Is there anyone who's studying these undead? Perhaps they would appreciate a donation.

Hmmm...

[ She knows that one or two people were studying them, based on the calls her phone had gotten. But she wants the corpses. It would be that much less work she'd have to do to keep the hunger down, after all. ]

Actually, I've been wondering how they work. For them to just attack like this, it makes me think there may be more of them. I'd want to know as much as possible.

Of course. So where shall we take them? I assume your house.
