Day 65 - Call to All

May 31, 2011 19:56

I find myself in dire need of someone with skill in the repair of prosthetic limbs.

Or an entirely new one, either or.

[Snake had an unfortunate and embarrassing run-in with a monster. He's not looking forward to explaining to Clover the fact that his fake arm has been slightly mangled. Emphasis not on slightly.]

!: tim/masky, !: santa, !: clover, snake

[Oh, yes, we're skipping right to the good part.]

I have been firmly educated that going outdoors is a poor idea.

[OH YES IS THAT ALL?!]

... and that's good, now what did you do you big idiot!?

[...OKAY, he'll continue.]

I was fooled. They tried to lure me out by sounding like someone in distress, and like an idiot, I fell for it, yes.

Could we, perhaps, discuss this in person, rather than the phones?

Yes. Good idea.

I'll be right there.

[Hanging up and very reluctantly leaving his room, now.]

[Clover is pacing and her arms are crossed over her chest and she is going to lecture you]

[On the bright side, it's a little like home! Here he comes, and yes, there's just the one arm, and maybe his clothing is a little more scruffy and dirty than usual.]

No need to pace, Clover.

[Clover launches herself at Snake and hugs him before fretting over the arm and clothes. Her mouth curls into a snarl and there's a glint in her eyes that Snake may or may not realize. His baby sister was protective. Someone was going to pay for this.]

Oh my GOD what happened to you?! What were you thinking!!? Are you hurt?

[Ah, it's so good to be back to normal. With his one arm, the mangled other one just sitting with a sheet covering it on his desk in his room, he gives Clover an awkward hug. The anger and relief rolling off her are fairly palpable, oh yes. It's never good to worry her...]

It's my own fault. I knew the creatures out there are deceptive, but I heard a voice, and... it was calling for help. I couldn't take the risk someone really was in danger and needed assistance.

[she frets more over his lack of arm.]

You need to not go anywhere alone! Take Santa or me or ... Lotus or someone! I'll... see about finding someone to help your arm. Unless the zombies fix that too?

I wouldn't have gone alone, if I'd known. I promise, Clover, I thought someone was in danger, or I never would have gone. ...Ah, I don't think the zombies can handle this, no.

Right... well, do you know someone who can fix it?

I do, actually. I spoke to a woman who works at the hospital, she offered to come over to our home and repair it. She's being very generous.

[That's Snakespeak for 'be nice to her, please.']
