Day 51 | late morning | Phone Call to All

Mar 27, 2011 18:37

[Elizabeth had only used the device once, and so despite how important she felt this call, her nervousness would be apparent.]

Ah-- hello there. Residents. You see... my name is Elizabeth Swann.

It has been gathered, and confirmed that there are, indeed, some sort of...things about the town. I don't know what to call them but I surely know ( Read more... )

You're very sweet Miss Swann. I guess you're not comfortable coming into town yet, not with the latest threat. But thank you for your offer! Perhaps once the Smiles are gone, one of us can help you and your friend about town-maybe find your house?

Ah, that isn't entirely true! I've made it to the house, to pick up this lovely little device. I merely... feel more at home on the ship.

That, and aboard I've a few things with which... one can defend themselves, Mister...

Oh! I'm sorry, that was rude of me! I'm Hanataro Yamada. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Swann. If you were lucky enough to keep the ship, a part of your home...I suppose that's understandable. Especially with the flood damage and all.

Oh, no need to worry. I do wish I could assign a pleasant face to your name, though all I have is your voice.

Perhaps if you come aboard, I will be able to properly make your acquaintance.

Same here Miss Swann! There is a camera function but I'm not sure how it works. I'm not good with these things. I'm sorry.

Maybe another day? Much as I'd like to come, there's some pressing matters that have come to my attention.

I would very much like to meet you, sir.

I will let you return to your matters. My ship is always open to you and yours.

Thank you Miss Swann! And if you need any help, medical or otherwise, just call me on the phone, or come to the hospital! Or um, my house.

Medical?

I daresay I may need your services yet, Mister Yamada. Just earlier, I stumbled upon a man... who had an injury by sword that had run him through.

He is on the ship, grasping at life. Admiral James Norrington is his name.

He has seen a physician, but I fear the worst. A second set of eyes and hands may save him yet.

Is that so? I'm on my way then, with my medical supplies. I can save Admiral Norrington. Especially if he's already been attended to.

What's the name of the physical, Miss Swann?

Doctor Maturin. He's rather brilliant, but such a mortal wound... I can't help hoping for another doctor. There is only so much a single physician can do.

Maturin? I don't know him. [He's surprised. He thought he knew all the medical professionals in town.]

I'll be there. On the Empress?

That is correct, sir. I shall look for you upon the horizon.

I'm on my way-please ask him if he can keep the patient stabilized until I arrive.

I will. Then you can get a full report from the doctor himself.
