I realize that this might be a bit of an...inane question at a time like this, but...
Did someone lose a cat recently?
It was making a racket for, ah, about thir--half an hour very late last night. So...I went outside and set something out for it, but it was gone before I could see where it'd gone.
[...Oh, and there's still a saucer of buttermilk by his doorstep. Just in case kitty comes back.]
