Day 46 || Mass Text

Mar 07, 2011 21:13

I'm pretty sure someone's couch just floated by me.

Anyone know how much water a house can take before it collapses?

I just arrived a millicycle or two ago. I haven't had a chance to do a proper structural analysis of this place yet, but the floors are soggy. So probably not.

How long is a millicycle?

Probably all the houses are flooding. Same builder and all.

Approx. 8 hours

Do you know who built them?

Oh. Super new then. Nice to meet you. I'm Tim.

I dunno. Only been here a little over a week myself. I haven't met that many people.

Sure is. Especially with all the water. It's so lame.

Maybe it'll be better when it's not so wet.

How long will that take?

Depends on where the waters draining to and how much snow needs to melt.

I guess most of the snow is almost gone but I dunno. It'll be a bad flood if there's much more.

This isn't a bad flood? News to me. I've never seen anything like it.

It's a bad flood. Just not rushing water knocking down trees and impaling people on fences.

We all need to get to higher ground. Or make boats somehow.

...That doesn't sound good.

Like Noah's Ark?

Kinda. But we'd starve if the flood got that bad. And we don't have any animals.

None at all? That's disappointing. I wanted to at least see some birds. I like birds.

there's normally birds. But they likely ran off before the flood. They'll be back once it goes away.
