Day 75 | Don't Do It

When: Late afternoon, day 75
Where: The lighthouse
What: Wheatley thinks he's clever and going to GlaDOS's lab. Neither of these are true.

What an idiot. Obviously he was superior to her in every way, but even that didn't excuse how easily she coughed the location up. He'd known she was malfunctioning, but that badly? Shameful.
The irony of how he'd been duped, how his brain had been popping and sizzling, how there was something obviously wrong with him, was of course completely lost on him.
In fact, he hadn't even caught on to it yet. Earlier when it had just began to dawn on him, he felt off. But now? He couldn't remember ever feeling better. He also couldn't remember why he'd been so awfully worried earlier, either. Scared for... Something or another. Whatever it was, it didn't matter. He would be taking GlaDOS's lab soon enough. That was all that mattered. That and testing. He needed to test. Had to.
As he stared up at the lighthouse, he couldn't understand the gnawing feeling at the back of his neck. Resist? Why would he do that? Nothing wrong with testing. Maybe it'd make the urge go away, too.
He made a few fumbling steps toward the entrance and pounded the door roughly. "Hey-ey! Come on, no use hiding away is there? I know you're there, you ruined that one for yourself, so just... Don't make this harder than it really has to be. It'll only be worse for you if you don't surrender now. I'm even willing to make a deal: Come out now, easy, and I won't kill you! Sound good?"
