Okay, so maybe he'd invited half the town -- or all of it -- but it wasn't like it was a big deal. The houses were on the big side; people could fit. More importantly, it sounded like it might actually be fun. Dante wasn't really one for crowds. Not that he was afraid of them, just that it was difficult to maneuver. And in his line of work, and with his bloodline involved, endangered the innocent. Beyond a mosh pit at a thrash metal concert, the half-devil tended to avoid them. But they could all use a damn break, couldn't they? After that cannibal and the weather.
"Heh." He pushed himself up off the counter of the kitchen, snagged a beer and twisted the cap off. "Gettin' sentimental aren't ya?" he mumbled to himself. "Thinkin' so much." Snagging a handful of chips as he walked by, which were then cradled against the stomach of his shirt ("Live Free or Die Hard" proudly scrawled across the front), Dante wandered into the next room. He paused long enough for a cursory search for Lady, but didn't bother himself overmuch. He wasn't sure if he was trying to talk to her or avoid her anyway.
[This is strictly a mingling post. Have some drunken shenanigans. Just don't wreck anything that can't be replaced at S Mart. Or, you know, punch through the wall. ...Dante has dibs on that. Essentially, this is a kegger without the keg. Dante's emptied the S Mart of beer and chips and lugged a hefty quantity of ice back to the house. The beer's well more than enough for everyone to get plastered. The snacks are enough to threaten your waistline. Make your own thread. Tag others. Hop around at your leisure. As with the Social Event, the refreshments are set up to one side (we'll say sprawled across kitchen and dining room) and the rest of the house is mostly clear of stuff that would be in the way at a party. It's not decorated, but knock back a few and you won't know the difference.]
