It was simple how life could treat a person sometimes. It was odd how there were things that were understood by one, and not the other. Sometimes, it was the little things, a simple meeting, that would create a friendship, or a deeper relationship. Hanataro knew this well. He had been taken hostage by two unknown men, and formed a friendship, due to one untied shoe.

And in this case, a fight for someones life would come from a very simple, embarrassing reason.

He tripped.

He hadn't been looking where his feet had been going; he had mainly gone outside, due to the...faceless nurses. Their twitching, the lurching he could see in the corner of his eye had been grating his nerves too badly. It was difficult for him to act normal, when he was sure he had just seen something attacking him. So, foolish as it was, he decided to stretch his legs. He had been walking along, hurrying when he thought he heard a gurgling noise-and he tripped over a rock.

With a squeak, he fell hard, sprawled out on the ground. At least one of the Smiles weren't around; than something would be yet again laughing at him. He sighed, and lifted his head. He was shocked to see the prone woman on the ground, and crawled over, scrambling to get her vital signs. She was alive! Carefully, he checked the ground around her. Nothing there. With surprisingly steady hands, he started to check her body for signs of injury.
"Hello? Can you hear me? I'm Hanataro Yamada.I'm a healer. And I'm trying to help you."
It would have been better if he had spoken before touching but...he was worried for her. He didn't want anyone else here to die.

Her thoughts were a mess; a mix of memories, hopes, dreams. She didn't know where she was and filtering reality from her dream was difficult. Praxis... the Sanctuary... they were there, blazing in her mind. And now here. There were warning bells going off, signals screaming inside her. This wasn't a dream and she wasn't dead.

Her mind fought. It knew, remembered. There'd been too much like this, too many fights but each one seemed to strengthen her. She wouldn't die, not without it being on her terms.

She felt the touch, the light brushes firing through her neurons. She held onto it and then the voice came. Sound was far easier to focus on.

It took a few moments before she stirred. The movement was small, brief, a slight tipping of her head but it was there.

"What... is this?" Her throat burned in soreness but she knew that a movement wasn't enough. The body still moved even unconscious - she was showing that she was there.

"Bell Pointe." He winced, seeing how she was not quite there. It seemed that she wasn't quite with it, not yet. It must have been a harsh transition. Maybe she was one of the people who had died, or came close to it.

Seeing as to how she was not bleeding to death, he got out his pack and his medical supplies. Thank goodness he was able to use some of the ever restocking bandages there. The other medical supplies however...he had to use them, if only to ease whatever hurts were on her body.

"This is Bell Pointe. I know you want to sleep, but I need you to stay with me." His tone was firm, professional, more so than it usually was. He knew what he was doing. He was not a leader of an advanced medical relief team for nothing.
"I need to know where you hurt. If you hurt at all. I'm going to stabilize you so we can get to the hospital." He was nervous about staying here for a full treatment. And that was putting it mildly. It was a miracle, really, that a Smile hadn't come by right than, or another one of the...creatures.

Helen admired his professionalism, and was thankful that he knew what he was doing rather than being a 'healer'. 'All over' would be the most accurate response for his question, though since she had no physical injuries - in a sense - she was safe enough to move first, and then she would answer his questions.

"I have no injuries." She was ignoring her symptoms, blocking out as much of the pain that her mind could hold. That wasn't all. While dying had taken everything, the amount of energy that she was slowly recovering she was already losing - being sick was very badly timed.

"That isn't what I asked you miss." His voice was firm, but gently scolding. That was rather rude of her not to admit how she was feeling-life threatening too. It was his job to ensure that she didn't die, and heaven help him if he was denied that by his own patient!

"If you're lying to me, I can very easily administer a painkiller in order to get you to the hospital intact. I'd rather not do that. And I don't want to stay out here longer than we have to. We might get killed. Again: how are you feeling?"

It took her a moment to answer, gathering herself whilst also finding the best - and most detailed - answer.

"My heartbeat is a little irregular... there's bruising - possibly internal too - and pain caused from the bruising and aching." Not to mention being dazed, having an odd white blood cell count but surprisingly lacking any burns.

"Sounds like you're a medical practitioner yourself." He murmured. He smiled a little, looking her body over. There were a few hard parts, feeling like tensed muscles. "I'm going to lift your shirt okay? I want to see if there's any bruising on your chest. You might feel a slight warm tingling. That'll just be me at work. Do I have your permission?"

"You do." While instinct would have been to close her eyes while he worked though the situation forced her to think otherwise. Instead she turned her attention back to what he'd said before. Bell Pointe, being killed. What exactly was this place?

He nodded, and raised her shirt, looking over the bruises. Really, there was little he could do quickly. But this...well, it would prevent the loss of her life, and hopefully stabilize her enough to get onto her feet. He wouldn't be able to carry her without help.

It would be draining but...this was better than nothing. His hands glowed, as he poured energy into her body, seeking to soothe her heartbeat. That was the major problem that he wanted to deal with, more than anything. But if his kido soothed her bruises as a byproduct, he wasn't going to complain.

She could feel it. Helen was unaware of what she was feeling but... energy. She could feel it slowly seeping in. Not much changed, not at once but slowly... she ached a little less, her heart began to regulate and the feeling of weakness was no longer quiet as powerful.

"You're a healer in multiple senses." She was glad, and grateful.

"I am. I was trained to heal. But I have to stop for now." Hanataro eased it off, and gently touched her face.

"Normally I would do it in full, but there's some walking bombs about. Do you feel you can stand?" he felt concerned, and guilty. He wanted to finish but...he could hear a faint giggling.

"Walking bombs?" Oh, this was intriguing. But yes, back to the question, they can discuss that - and everything else about this - while they're on the way to something rather more secure. "I can, thank you." And she slowly moved, not rushing herself as she tried to push herself up and did so rather more successfully this time.

"We'll discuss it when you're in the hospital." He told her, and rested a hand on her upper back. The back of his neck was feeling prickly, due to the giggling coming closer. He hated looking at those things. They were...disturbing.

He slowly helped her to her feet, wrapping an arm around her waist. It was light though, in case she felt she could stand on her own.
"But first, I can hear one of those creatures. We should get moving."

"I agree." That was partially at the creature, from what he seemed to believe of it, but also so they could be somewhere where they could talk, and to be out of this fog. Once she was stood, in a rather rare moment, Helen allowed herself to lean slightly against him, allowing him to take her weight - though only for the fact that they would be able to move quicker. "My name's Helen." It was only proper to introduce herself also, especially after he'd saved her life.

"I'm Hanataro. Hanataro Yamada." He gave her a quick smile, and after ease her weight onto himself, started to move. If nothing else, he was a work horse. He could take her weight, at least for a little while.
"I'm very sorry to rush you like this. It's...a very strange place. Um. Just a warning, you might see something in the fog. But don't...pay it any attention. We'll just avoid it."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, despite the circumstances." For everything that she'd seen previous and knew, what he was saying was rather odd - especially given the lack of explanation. "If what you're saying it true then moving ourselves to somewhere less open is a better idea." And, she was doing a lot better too.
