Good afternoon.
[There's an awkward pause. It's only his second time using one of these things, and James is still unsure of the proper manner of conducting oneself during a call.
He clears his throat.]
This is Admiral Norrington once again, although the subject matter I wish to address today is of infinitely less importance than the last.
You see, I have purchased a "frozen roast beef dinner" which boasts that it should be "ready in minutes." I find myself both intrigued and skeptical of the package's likely-vainglorious claims and wish to prepare the meal straight away to assess for myself.
Thus far, I have pierced the "plastic overwrap" several times with a fork to vent. Next I am to place the meal into the microwave for approximately seven minutes.
[Another pause.]
If you please, what exactly is a microwave?
[He says the word delicately, as if he were attempting to speak a foreign language.]
