crane flies

is it me or did crane flies get larger and louder this year?

went to york on tuesday, came back yesterday. its quaint. it has all the qualities of a village; preserved medievel architecture, independent shops, cobbled streets and yet still has the commotion and exploitation of a city; regular festive events, tourists, decent indie comic shops(did i mention the shops?) apparently its the tourist attraction for fellow yorkshire folk. wish i could have stayed there longer but i'm due to fly out to ireland soon. in the next few hours. i've nearly packed everything, only staying for a few days in my father's home town, where we hope to bury his ashes in his mother's and father's grave. i've been apprehensive about the whole affair, not able to sleep, not able to delve into any depth about what we do in ireland. i hope i beat my brother at pitch and put. ireland is a beautiful country, york is a wonderful town but i don't think i could live in them, london has given me too much exposure to city life and i crave it everyday i'm in this town. brighton looks the option to move to as there are a few people from here moving there.
