the lifts are working, i'm nowhere near as tired as i was yesterday. they've offered me til the end of next week doing the same thing but via a lift...this job is now in no way strenuous, i shall take the extra week. it feels ominous because the person i'm covering is having a back operation...caused by this specific job, i hope next week i won't be needing posture reshaping. if the lifts break again, i'll walk out!
on an even better note i've been enjoying 'notebook from a defeatist' by joe sacco (the author and illustrator of palestine[which it shamelessly advertises on the front, to my pleasure]). i didn't realise until maybe last year that comics/graphic novels etc could be so interesting. i was always put off by fantasy comics. only read 2000AD when i was young and a cool mock sci-fi comic which i forget the name of, i'll remember tomorrow when i check the internet...
on another contemplative note, i'm feeling my chances of rockstardom are slipping away from me and am thinking about taking a TEFL course in spanish and teaching english in south america for as long as i can. britain is beginning (for want of an abrupt description and also through not caring to explain why) suck asphalt! i want to see more of the world than a conventional job could offer like the occasional holiday etc
