Taiwan 2011!!!! (Day 2 - 23/01/2011)
So Day 2 started off with numerous alarms ringing off (because I set like 10 alarms in my ipod touch) and well weidi woke up first. I THINK. Aiya our days all start off in a standard manner: Wake up, bathe, wake the other person up, she bathes, put makeup while watching taiwanese news, comment on news, comment on whatever's on tv, snack abit, put on winter wear, leave room, leave hotel, comment on temperature using appropriate phrases/terms, decide on which sandwich to eat at Breakfast Store, buy 50 Lan, comment on how nice it is in Taiwan.
Well technically Day 2 didnt start off this way because we went to Din Tai Fung in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!
So after like 2 hours of preparation in the room, we left and took the metro to Din Tai Fung!! There;s always like a commotion in the metro station because we're unsure of which line to take/where that line is/where we're going and such AHAHAHA. And weidi will ALWAYS resort to taking out our handy dandy trusty Taipei guide book which is in striking orange and anyONE would know we;re tourists (although we firmly believe we DO NOT LOOK LIKE TOURISTS!!!!!!!!!!!)

Weidi looks great in her outfits!! Well, my beret especially!! :) I love the streets of taiwan i mean they give this old nostalgic fu u know?!
Finally reached DTF!! It was quite easy to locate I mean OFCOURSE WITH OUR GUIDES AND DIRECTIONS AND ALL.
I mean, Din Tai Fung is famous for its xiao long baos right???
So we went CRAZY with da xiao long baos!! hahaha we order like one mini xiao long bao and one normal sized xiao long baos and pork chop (with the great seasoning) and siew mais!!
yummm!! and we couldnt even FINISH our food! we did finish the xiaolongbaos though i mean THOSE WERE SOOOO GOOODODDDDD!! the authentic TW one is still the best!! we just kept eating one after another!!! in the end we couldnt finish our siew mais we left like 6 or something!!
and the service at DTF is TOP NOTCHED i swear. they;re so efficient and fast and polite and nice and friendly and all! u would think they're watching u because they;re always so quick and efficient whenever you need them but they're not watching u at all! but they can STILL sense it when u need help!! weidi and i were full of praises for them srsly!! they even refilled her tea like 20 times!!! and when weidi misplaced her yoyo card there and called them few hours later to check, they even remembered two ladies sat at that table at that time and were nice enough to help to keep her card just in case.

It was FREEZING that day too!!!!!!! srsly BTH ttm. weidi wore like 5 layers everyday while I only wore like 3!!!! the scarf was srsly damn good in keeping me warm i think!!! anyway, even after days of walking around this area i still dunno if its called zhong xiao dong lu or zhong xiao xin sheng or zhong xiao dun hua or zhong xiao fu xing HAHAHAHA it is so confusing i leave it to weidi ^^ in terms of direction we always just ~follow our heart~ and surprisingly we always end up in the right place!!
so yup i waited the longest time for weidi to use the toilet while I stood outside the metro station waiting and waitinggggggggg and srsly in my heart hoping someone would scout me since i was just standing there looking talented and all. then we went to DHC to get some vitamins!!! and looked for eslite cheng2 ping3 which we LOVED because their magazine section is to-die-for!!!!!!!!!!
Weidi bought so many magazines and srsly it's not the magazines that we want but the freebies!!!! hahaha people actually buy the magazine FOR the freebies! cuz the freebies are like bags /makeup and they are all so PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!111 so we saw this topshop clutch/bag that was SOOOO GORGE but there was like none left in the shelves beczu the last magazine for that was RESERVED. we had the salesperson call up another outlet and all that jazz and it's also OOS.... in the end SOMEHOW the guy asked us exactly what we were thinking which was if I wanted the display set AND OF COURSE I WANT IT LAHHHH!!!!!! hahaha so i got it!!!! after all that hassle!!! ^^ it's sooo gorge i love it!!!!
and eslite bookstore is such a great place so be in seriously everyone's all serious reading and stuff and they have everything in chinese like twilight and stuff it's really great ^^ weidi got herself this mag with free marc jacobs cosmetic pouch which is REALLY GORGE TOO!!!!!!!!11111 i love it it was the last piece1!!
then we went to find breeze by this time it was already dark even though it was only like 5pm and STILL FREEEEEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! then we entered breeze and its something like paragon!?! we immediately went to hands tailung and IT WAS PARADISE!!!!!!! i mean look at the amount of products and the variety!!! immediately grabbed a trolley and went shopping!! then we made friends with this salesgirl cuz we were asking about a product and then she started recommending others and like suddenly 3 of us were like squealing with excitement because we've heard good reviews abt those products and finally got our hands on them and she was squealing because..well,..maybe shes EXCITED TOO!!!!!
then while shopping suddenly she popped up again and like talked to me and stuff and she said she's been to singapore and it's really funnn and shes all excited again and stuff then i told her taiwan's damnn fun and i love the weather and the food and all that jazz WE BECAME INSTANT FRIENDS!! ahahaha shes just really friendly!!! and she recommended us to another place which sells tons of such cosmetics awww! hands tailung is the SHIZZZ!!!
anyways, next we hop over to mr J's restaurant the less known one hahaha ok that place is REALLY confusing and we were like walking the same alleys so many times because we couldnt find the restaurant!!! and i duno why i was errr kinda scared or smthg like pple would suddenly pop out and kidnap us or smthg cuz the alleys were REALLY dark.
but we FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! super secluded...and its so small compared to the photos.............................. the food's okay and all i mean people just visit that place cuz it was opened by mr chow hahahahaa note the pronunciation please.

our only photo with taipei 101!!!!!!!!!! the guy with the group who took this photo of us were like asking us where we were from and all that and we both were so busy looking at how we look like in the photo that we just IGNORED him ahahha that was a funny moment!
the taipei 101 look so pretty here!! srsly its so iconic i love looking at the tower!! we wanted to WALK to taipei 101 since it looked pretty near to where we were but WHO WERE WE KIDDING I MEAN IT WAS THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD OF COURSE IT LOOKS NEAR TO WHERE WE WERE!!!!!!!!!! hahhahaa!!
then we went back to our heartland paradise XMD and did what we do best that is walking around XMD randomly and soaking in the atmosphere and all that. u know xmd is so big that at night one side of XMD could be closed and all that while the heart of XMD is still buzzing with people. & since EVERYWHERE was playing this bo peep song that was in the taiwanese dialect instead of korean, it got stuck in my head!! weidi told me the taiwanese version of bo peep means BLESS YOU BLESS YOU or something HAHAHAH
okay so MUST I MENTION that while singing that bo peep song with weidi while heading back to our hotel, i accidentally STEPPED ON PUKE?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!! it was soo fucking gross i swear i mean i only heard weidi shouting "SHUYIN NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and the next thing i knew i stepped on this POOL OF PUKE in the heart of XMD and EVERYONE was staring like wtf she stepped on puke that kinda thing..... i was SOOO PISSED OFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 #@$#@$^&%^&*% so i shouted fuck like damnn loud ok that was so uncivilised of me :( god i was sooo embarrasseddddd!!! it was SO GROSS!! there was puke all over my flats!!!! and i didnt wanna throw them away so weidi got me to clean them in water and dettol sanitizers (thank god weidi has that around!!!!!!!!!) she spammed dettol on my flats and i had to deal with the cleaning i swear i SWEAR WHOEVER PUKED THERE BLESS YOU SERIOUSLY.
so we cleaned my flats outside our trusty 24 hr watsons and i think we went to cosmed afterthat or smthg i cant remember since we've been going into different watsons/cosmed like 4231321434235 TIMES throughout our trip HAHAHAHA
anyways, back to the hotel and after bathing and in our pjs and all (i think this is the last night we actually BATHED before we sleep hahaha the next few nights we just lie on bed asap when we go back to hotel and watch TV and comment on tv and eat and drink and then sleep without bathing HOHOHO) we felt that we were hungry or itching to snack so we just quickly wore anything we saw in sight and .. well...
I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING AT WEIDI'S OUTFIT!!!!111112233 omggg i srsly laughed SO HARD that night it was epic man..... mom's stockings with FBTS (she later changed into a skort thank god but it was even funnier IDK IT WAS SO FUNNY) and me in 28/09 class tee with leggings... seriously people how can u get any more fashionable?!
bought tons of junk frm 7-11 ahhh its srsly my fave night club hahahhaa and we cant get any more reckless in road crossing too my parents would not approve of us DASHING across the road in the middle of the night HAHAHA
we had to pack up since we had to change rooms!! to a smaller one :( yeah the spare bed became a dumping ground for our buys ahahahha!!!
